Dress Your Best and Modest This Winter

Welcome to the Winter season! Winter is one of my favorite seasons because people have a happier spirit. Everyone is more focused on family and simple acts of kindness.

The cold that comes with this season is definitely not my favorite, but I do love to get cozy! If you’re like me and you enjoy the season but not so much the cold, this is where you can find the best modest outfits for Winter.

A common misconception about modesty (or even dressing warmly) is that anything you wear will probably be unflattering and restricting. I’m happy to be able to say that there are so many cute Winter colors and outfits that will help you feel and look your best self.

The Best Colors for Winter

A very important part of the clothing and accessories we wear are the colors we choose. I’m going to share my top favorite color choices and combinations for Winter! Your go-to guide for the best colors in outfits for Winter:

Black

Black is one of my favorite colors, and particularly in Winter! I use many combinations that incorporate black because everything looks good with it.

Olive Green

Olive green goes with many other colors! I prefer it with black, but stripes or animal print goes with it beautifully, too.

Burgundy

Burgundy is absolutely an amazing color in general, but especially when it comes to creating outfits for Winter! The rich tones really make accessories pop. Burgundy with animal print is always a great trend, and in combination with black, it is elegant and classy.

Winter is a wonderful time for traditions with loved ones. One of my fondest memories of Winter traditions is from my country, the Dominican Republic! When I was a little girl, I always looked forward to the celebration of Angelitos, which is kind of like a Secret Santa.

The kids in my neighborhood would start planning for Angelitos in November! We drew names from piles, and each person would have someone assigned to them and vice-versa. Then, we spent 3-5 weeks giving gifts to each other, according to the price limit and amount of time we decided on. These smaller tokens would usually be joke gifts of some sort, like a lizard in a paper bag!

Finally, Angelitos would end around the weekend before Christmas. We’d have a group dinner where everyone’s Angelitos would be revealed, and we would all give and receive one last, meaningful gift.

These outfits are inspiration for what you might wear to a celebration with friends, a family get-together, or a walk in the sunset! It can be so easy sometimes to not dress up. Between the errands you have to run, activities to attend, and the many tasks you have to accomplish during the day, putting an outfit together is not your priority sometimes, but I promise you that if you take a few minutes to look into your closet and put something together it will be totally worth it!

The way you dress makes a huge difference. It even affects how you feel, so put in that extra effort with how you present yourself!

If you prefer to stay home and do snuggles, movies, and hot chocolate, these looks are ideal to do that, too.

There are so many wonderful things about this season, and I hope you see you can make so many beautiful, warm outfit combinations!
